Project: Eats
Project: EATS returns to City Hall in Downtown Jersey City for its third year with more than 50 vendors each day. This outdoor foodie festival will have an array of food trucks and tented vendors as well as four beverage bars.
The Jersey City Project, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit, continues its mission of promoting and supporting artisans and locally-owned small businesses. They have an excellent track record of executing projects which are specifically artisan-driven marketplaces. Their slogan is “bringing out the best in Jersey City, one project at a time”, and that is exactly what they do! Each vendor represents a variety of industries, including retail, craft, fine art, jewelry, food, beer, and more.
Some vendors I’m excited to try are:
Pick a Bonbon– These homemade, handmade, Brazilian inspired bonbons have been a huge hit at Jersey City markets. All of their Amegrideiros are around 100 calories! They have delicious flavors such as s’mores, coconut, peanut butter, French toast, coffee and much more!
Angry Archies – In 2016, Archie’s won Best Food at the Food Truck Mash up at the Meadowlands, which featured hundreds of trucks competing for NJ bragging rights. If you enjoy fresh crab, we suggest ordering the Angry Lobster Roll, Angry Crab Roll or their infamous crab fries. They also have delicious refreshing lemonade. Jersey City residents can find Angry Archies pop up location at 200 Harborside, which is now opened for lunch from 11:30-2:30.
